Hawaii ∞  Oahu  ♦  Waikiki  ♦  Lanikai ♦ Kona Big Island  ♦  Honolulu

If you love the surf, you will love Hawaii. Known for the waves and the beaches for its popular holiday destination. Growing up in Australia I feel really still have the best appreciation for the Australian beaches I was lucky to grow up with which I realised not every country gets to have such beautiful blue beaches.

~ Diamond Head Crater ~

Such a beautiful hike located within the city centre. As with many tourist locations there will be many people heading to the same location, though there are some beautiful stopping points where you can appreciate the stunning view. Hikes to these beautiful locations are some of my favourite things to do and was a highlight from Honolulu.

Diamond Head and Oahu Coast Half-Day Tour

~ Polynesian Cultural Festival ~

A full day of Polynesian Culture can be found under one large cultural centre. An amazing experience that can't be missed whilst in Hawaii. The key highlight is definitely the people and the culture and by the end you will have found your inner Polynesian.

~ Black Sand Beach ~

Punaluʻu Beach also known as Black Sand Beach features sand made of basalt and created by lava flowing into the ocean which explodes as it reaches the ocean and cools.

Hilo Shore Excursion: Active Volcano Waterfall Black Sand Beach

~ Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park ~

Discover the inspiring natural wonders of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on your trip to the Island of Hawaii. The national park is home to two volcanoes including Kilauea - one of the most active volcanoes on earth. The chance to witness the primal process of creation and destruction makes it one of the most popular visitor attractions in Hawaii and a sacred place and even more amazing to hike.

The top adventure was the hike to the Lanikai Pillboxes. If hiking is your thing you will definitely love this adventure! Overlooking the beautiful beaches of Hawaii on the iconic Pillboxes was an exhilarating moment.

~ Lanikai Pillboxes ~

The Lanikai Pillboxes (Kaiwa Ridge Trail) are one of the most picturesque and exciting hiking trails of Oahu. This intermediate hike rises over the beautiful Lanikai Beach, offering hikers some of the best views of Oahu’s ocean side.

Welcome to Hawaii! We couldn't go pass doing our shopping in the American shops and I personally found it interesting whenever I am in another country and can feel such a difference. The different brands and portion sizes for one was entertaining enough as we did our grocery shop in Wal-Mart.  Don't forget to stop by Bubba Gump! The popular American Seafood Restaurant - find out why Americans love this Bubba Gump Menu

A historical site visit to Pearl Harbour can also be found on this island.

I don't think I'll ever forget this one restaurant my sister and I found while exploring the streets of Hawaii and that was this Udon Restaurant that made fresh udon! I later found out the name Marukame Udon Waikiki. This may perhaps have been my first udon tasting (I know I'm Asian but before this I never got to fully appreciate udon soba noodles before!). Something about finding these homely restaurants was a highlight for me to discover while traveling.
